The Engineering Statistics Laboratory was founded in 2000. Its
mission is to conduct advanced research on statistical methodologies
for the control and optimization of the characteristics that define
the quality of a production product or a process. The lab provides
advanced computing facilities (software and hardware) to graduate
students and faculty working in the Engineering Statistics field.
Since its inception, the ELS has focused on two main research thrusts:
- Statistical and Time Series Process Control
- Process optimization and response surface methods
