The Laboratory for Intelligent Systems and Quality (LISQ) has been
an integral part of the Industrial Engineering Department since
1987. Originally founded by Dr. Kumara, Joint Professor in Industrial
Engineering and Computer Science, LISQ (formerly called IDDRL: Intelligent
Design and Diagnostics Research Laboratory) has grown to be an interdisciplinary
laboratory that spans many academic departments. The mission of
the LISQ is to advance the lab into the wireless world and allow
students to be able to connect to the network using point and connect
services.
The LISQ's research objectives include:
- Bringing together research on intelligent systems and statistics-based
methods for monitoring, diagnosing, and controlling system/process
behavior/quality
- Conducting research on theoretical and applied aspects of information
technology as applied to internet and e-manufacturing
- Conducting research on nonlinear dynamics in behavior evolution
in multi-agent systems in logistics
For more information about the LISQ, please visit the LISQ
Laboratory Website.
