Profile
Dr. Ravindran teaches courses in the area of Operations Research at the undergraduate level. At the graduate level, he teaches courses in multicriteria decision making, and supply chain engineering. He has received 11 teaching awards in Industrial Engineering. His research interests include supply chain modeling, portfolio optimization/finanancial engineering, goal programming, interactive methods for multiple criteria optimization, applications of mathematical programming to health planning, quality control, transportation networks, hazardous waste disposal, and system reliability. He has obtained funding from NSF, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of Transportation, and several corporations. He has been a consultant to AT&T, General Motors, General Electric, IBM, Kimberly Clark and Crayola companies.
