Team IE #1 fundraiser for 2009 Penn State Relay for Life
On Apr. 17-18, undergraduate and graduate students from the Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering participated in Penn State's 5th annual Relay for Life to Benefit the American Cancer Society.
Thanks to the generous donations from family, friends, faculty, staff, and alumni of the Penn State IE department, Team IE finished #1 in fund raising for the second year in a row. The team raised over $7,600 for the American Cancer Society.
This year's campsite decoration theme was Through the Decades. The IE team members decorated the Team IE campsite with a 1960's and 1970's theme.
This year's team members include: Rachel Abrahams, Gina Anselmo, Edward Aquilina, Denise Bauer, Tyler Carter, Aixa Cintron, Lorna Cintron, David Claudio Lindsey Colosi, Monifa Vaughn-Cooke, Christina Kokini, Paul Lynch, Thomas Masteller, Lourdes Medina, Michael McGuire, Travis Mount, Emily Niman, John Polifko, Kristin Smith, David Sudit (Captain), and James Wall. The team was joined by IE alumni, family, and friends throughout the 24 hour event.
