Congratulations to the Lockheed Martin Design Awards winners!
Congratulations to the following Spring 2009 Lockheed Martin Design Awards winners! The awards were presented during the Industry Partners' Dinner after the Design Showcase on April 29.
Two teams won first place in the Lockheed Martin Design Awards, one of which being a team of IE students:
First Place

Students: Steven Edling, Jonathan Etter, Adam Koontz, and Allison Lancos
Instructor: Sanjay Joshi
This project was sponsored by Rich Products of Buffalo, N.Y. Students working on this project created a cake centering device that positions the cake on the conveyor belt so the icing and finishing touches can be accurately applied during production. The team also won the Boeing Systems Engineering Award.
The third-place Lockheed Martin prize also went to an IE group:
