IE students awarded Material Handling Education Foundation scholarships
Two Penn State industrial engineering students have been awarded Material Handling Education Foundation scholarships for the 2009-10 academic year. This year, the Foundation provided over $100,000 in awards to 32 students pursuing degrees in material handling-related fields.
Michael Stroka, an IE undergraduate student, won the Spanco Honor Scholarship worth $5000, and Daniel Miner, an IE graduate student, won the Tiffin Metal Products Honor Scholarship, also valued at $5000.
The Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting material handling education. Since 1976, the Foundation has awarded over $2,000,000 from contributions to fund hundreds of scholarships, faculty/student travel conference grants, instructional aid grants and fellowships.
