"My responsibilities were project-based and greatly varied," he said. "My role and responsibilities included: process improvement, data analysis, and quality engineering."

ANDRTIZ is an international technology group that supplies plants, equipment, and services to various industries including hydropower stations, pulp and paper, metalworking and steel, and solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors.

The Muncy location of the company is a global foundry and manufacturing facility for Durametal refiner plates, which are used in the pulp and paper and panelboard industries.

Other industry experience: During the summer of 2014, Binder worked as a manufacturing engineering intern at the Case New Holland Industrial (CNHi) facility in Benson, Minnesota, where he assisted the manufacturing department in re-balancing the assembly line as well as overall process improvement.

Penn State community involvement: Binder is an active member of The Navigators, a Christian group on campus, where he leads a Bible study group.

Career goals: "Studying industrial engineering at Penn State opens up a world of opportunities…so many, in fact, it can be difficult to decide which path to take. After graduation, I hope to go wherever God leads me to utilize my unique skillset in order to better the world around me."
